Do you want to experience math in a different way – creatively, colorfully, and with a tangible result? In this workshop, you'll discover how to create cool 3D objects from simple geometric shapes. There won't be much calculating involved – instead, you'll work with shapes, measurements, and your sense of what fits together well.
We'll start with an exciting challenge: Using basic geometric shapes, we'll solve a small design problem and develop a prototype step by step. You'll learn to measure precisely, adjust sizes, and work with meticulous attention to detail. We'll then transfer this prototype to Tinkercad and transform it into a digital 3D model. This way, an idea becomes a technically feasible design – from the initial sketch to the finished file. Shortly after, you'll be holding your first self-designed object in your hands, printed on a 3D printer.
Then things get really creative: Now you design your own earring from scratch. You experiment with shapes, symmetry, and proportions, refine details, and develop your own personal style. Finally, you take your self-designed and printed earring home with you.
